Originally built in 1914 and fully rebuilt approximately 25 years ago, this piano received a complete mechanical restoration including new action, strings, damper felts, and more. It was then donated to a local church, where it was only lightly used and who we are helping to sell on their behalf.
A soundboard crack developed at some point, which does not impact the tone or playability, but does affect resale value. As a result, the piano is priced well below typical market value for a Steinway Model O, despite its strong musical performance.
At $17,995, the price essentially reflects the cost of the prior restoration work. It delivers the tone, responsiveness, and presence the Model O is known for—well above what you would normally expect in this price range.
